First Run depends entirely on volunteers to keep the run clean, safe, and an all-around pleasant place to be.

There's lots you can do to help!

Here are some tasks you can do any time you are in the run:

• Rake chips/mulch back from the edges
  (where it accumulates along the fence)
• Fill in holes
• Pick up poop
• Pick up garbage
• Sweep out hydrant area
• Sweep entrance
• Loosen up hard, packed soil
  (to help trees and prevent puddles)
• Make sure benches and picnic tables are arranged so that dogs cannot circle the trees and cause moats
• Empty ashtrays
• Haul in chips from the pile at the south end of the park
• Shore up falling chain link fences
