First Run: Fundraising

How much would the project cost?

$85,0000. And the city wants us to pay $60,000.

What is up with the renovation?

The Parks department is planning a renovation of First Run. It includes lots of improvements (see below, under "The Renovation - The Changes").

When do we need this money?

Early 2005.

How on earth are we going to do that?

We're creating our own 501(c)3, and taking every fundraising idea that walks through the door.

I am a committed to the project and a fundraising genius. How can I get involved?

Drop what you're doing and mail firstrun-nyc-owners.

What happens to the money if the project doesn't happen?

If after two years we cannot muster enough money to complete the project, we will blow the whole fund on jellybeans. Kidding aside, Parks has said that they will be "flexible" about a fundraising shortfall. How flexible depends entirely on how much money we have.
